From 13 to 15 July 2015 the University of Ljubljana organised its first Summer School on cultural management. The Summer School is the fruit of the Art Council, which was founded by the University of Ljubljana (UL) last year. Organisation of the event was entrusted to the Faculty of Economics of the UL. The purpose of the Summer School is to present managerial tools in culture and to share UL member skills and knowledge with an emphasis on interdisciplinary work. The idea behind establishing the Art Council was to connect the various academies and faculties of the UL and to promote art both within and outside the University, so that it can better penetrate and participate in a diverse range of activities, including those in the business sector. The Summer School brought together the knowledge of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences with that of the art academies of the UL. The Summer School was attended by 41 students, most of them from the UL.
